Donating funds to United Way and Learn United makes a huge difference. It doesn't have to be a lot, even a few dollars wil buy a book–and we need all the books we can get. Whether you give small change or hundreds of dollars, you're making a real, significant investment into our community and the children who live here. We promise you: every single penny is appreciated by children who learn to read.

We have three funds to which you can donate. Please choose the one that's right for you.

Learn United Fund

Your gift to Learn United will support the active community-wide effort to close the 3rd grade reading achievement gap. This general support donation will provide training and support to volunteers, background checks, classroom material, books and parent education.

Real Men Read Sponsorship

A sponsorship for Real Men Read provides books for this exciting program. Real Men Read volunteers are matched with a 3rd grade classroom and serve as positive male role models who value education and reading. $150 sponsors a class and just $2 sponsors a book. The books go directly to students.

United Way Community Fund

Your gift to United Way's Community Fund supports more than 70 programs that help improve success in school, promote family stability and meet basic needs. All of these investments are critical to building a stronger community and to helping close the 3rd grade reading achievement gap.
